Andrea Mulkey’s financial education started at age eight—not in a classroom, but at her grandparents’ kitchen table. After her grandfather suffered a stroke, someone needed to step in and help manage the bills. She became that person.

Her grandparents were depression-era people—the kind who believed money is serious, that every dollar has a job, and that a family’s financial foundation is built one disciplined decision at a time. By her teenage years, Andrea was already helping others budget their money. She often jokes that she’s the youngest depression-era representative alive.

More than two decades in the public and nonprofit sectors followed, where she managed grants, designed systems, and built budgets for organizations serving communities. She excelled in that work—but the calling that began at her grandparents’ kitchen table never left. That calling led her to build Abundant Mindset Agency.

Today, Andrea is an NFEC-certified financial educator, an independent fiduciary, and a licensed life insurance agent serving clients across 15 states. She works with women in transition, faith-driven entrepreneurs, working families, and individuals who are ready to stop surviving, start building, and protecting their loved ones.

She is also the author of Made for This, a 90-day devotional for women called to build, with presales beginning July 20, 2026. Over seven years in the making, it’s a reminder that some things take exactly as long as they’re meant to.
